Climate Convos: Youth Uniting Communities for Local Climate Solutions
Please join us for an inspiring talk by Leia Lowery, cofounder and director of The Climate Initiative; and Jackson Chadwick, advocacy director for Maine Youth for Climate Justice. They will share moving stories of the success of young people in Maine and across the country, who are stepping up to the climate challenge and making their communities more resilient.
This event is accessible to all and welcomes diverse participants from our community.
The Climate Initiative (TCI) is a Maine based, nonpartisan, solutions-oriented organization with a mission to educate, empower, and activate youth to push for local, tangible solutions to the global climate challenge. TCI believes youth are the key to solving the climate challenge because they influence and foster climate concern among their parents, communities, and decision-makers. Through intergenerational conversations and youth led climate action, TCI is creating more vibrant and resilient communities across the country.
Bath Climate Conversations is a continuing series focused on learning, discussing, and connecting around ways to sustain and support our vibrant town as climate change occurs. Hosted by Bath Climate Action Commission in partnership with Kennebec Estuary Land Trust and the Patten Free Library.
