Beginning March 9, controlled construction blasting will occur Monday–Friday at 9:00–11:30 AM, 1:00–2:30 PM, and 3:10–4:00 PM. Each blast lasts only a few seconds. Warning horns signal the countdown and all-clear. Schools will keep students indoors and pause outdoor activities during blasting times.
Crooker Construction plans to start its road closure on North Washington St Monday 3/9/26. Crooker anticipates full road closure with no thru traffic starting at the intersection of Harward and Washington Street then will move south towards the cross country run across from 1417 Washington St.
The Division of Solid Waste and Recycling is responsible for managing the operation & maintenance of the Bath Landfill and the City's curbside collection of residential trash and recycling.
Trash Collection
Place trash and recycling at your curb no later than 7:00 AM the day of your collection and no earlier than 6:00 PM the night before. Trash or recycling that has been disturbed by wind or animals is considered litter. It will not be picked up by the contractor and is the responsibility of the occupant.

The Bath Landfill provides a safe, environmentally sound, affordable, and convenient place for disposal of solid waste to the residents and businesses of Bath and several nearby communities. A permit is required to enter the landfill for both waste disposal and recycling.
