School Crossing Guard

 The City of Bath is seeking a School Crossing Guard with the Bath Police Department. This 10-hour/week position is responsible for safely assisting pedestrians crossing the street at an assigned location, during assigned hours, when school is in session.

The ideal candidate is at least 18 years old, has experience working with children and can complete state-approved training for controlling traffic in a public way. They can stay attentive to surroundings, identify hazards, and create a safe and positive environment for children and adults. They are skilled in communicating and enforcing safety rules, and can recognize violations or suspicious activity and report them to school or police officials. They must pass a background test. The duties of this job are primarily outdoors in all weather and temperatures.
