In Bath, TIF districts support strategic investment in infrastructure, redevelopment, housing, and other community priorities. Each district is governed by an approved development program and may support different projects and funding uses.

The BIW 1 & 2 TIF districts support investment connected to Bath Iron Works and related economic development priorities. These districts may help advance infrastructure, workforce, and other eligible public improvements tied to major employment and industrial activity in Bath.
The Wing Farm TIF supports development and public improvements associated with the Wing Farm area. Eligible uses may include infrastructure, site improvements, and other investments that support planned growth and community benefit.
The Downtown TIF supports revitalization and long-term investment in Bath’s downtown. TIF funds may be used to support streetscape improvements, public infrastructure, redevelopment efforts, parking, pedestrian amenities, and other eligible downtown projects.
The City currently has three affordable housing TIF districts. These TIFs support affordable housing goals and related community development priorities. They help the City direct eligible TIF resources toward housing investment and other approved public purposes.
