Crawford Drive Improvement Construction Project

JUNE 7, 2023 - UPDATE  - The contractor has installed the curb and base and surface paved all road and sidewalk surfaces.  The Public Works Dept. painted the crosswalk and stop bar stripes and the contractor installed the signs.  The project is now complete.  We thank the residents of Crawford Drive, their neighbors on Newton, Matthews, and Bernard, and the larger Lambert Park community for their patience and understanding during the construction work.  We hope the newly improved infrastructure will serve you well for many years to come.

APRIL 28, 2023 - UPDATE - All underground sewer and storm drain work has been completed. The existing road pavement was removed. The road base was graded. The first layer of new pavement was placed. Pavement tie-ins to intersecting streets were placed. All catch basins and manholes will be adjusted to be flush with the final road pavement, to be placed later. Drivers may encounter raised structures for a short time. The contractor will be placing base gravel for the sidewalks. The curb will be constructed soon.

APRIL 4, 2023 - UPDATE - The contractor continues to make spot repairs to sewer mains and service laterals.  They are also working on installing new storm drain to separate one catch basin from the sewer.  When that work is completed, the effort will shift to sidewalk construction.

MARCH 17, 2023 - UPDATE - The contractor has removed existing road pavement in the areas of sewer repair.  Work on sewer main and service laterals continues.

MARCH 1, 2023 - UPDATE - St. Laurent & Son anticipates mobilizing to the site and starting work on or about March 6. Work is expected to begin with site preparation, which may include fence and tree removals. Following will be installation of a new storm drain and sewer repairs. Then sidewalk construction followed by road reconstruction and paving.

Work is expected to be substantially completed by early July, 2023. Schedules are very much subject to change and early season weather is a factor.

A detailed set of project plans can be found here.
