Do you know how Legion Field got its name?

On April 4, 1984, the Bath City Council passed a resolution for the Smith-Tobey Post # 21 of the American Legion for their long-standing commitment to the quality of recreation in the City of Bath;  their commitment to the heart and well-being of the people of Bath by their generous contribution of its energy and resources to the development of a multi-purpose recreation field on Congress Avenue.  They named the new field “Legion Field” in honor of the Smith-Tobey Post #21 of the American Legion.

In October 2023, the Sons of the American Legion donated a new scoreboard for the facility. Thank you for your continued support of the Bath Parks and Recreation Department!
