As part of the Resilient Bath Initiatives and updated Climate Action Plan, the City of Bath is helping qualified low to moderate income residents lower household emissions and reduce energy costs through home efficiency upgrades.
In partnership with Efficiency Maine, Bath residents can now receive an additional rebate—equal to 20% of their qualifying Efficiency Maine rebate—when they invest in energy-efficient improvements.
Launching in 2025, the Resilient Bath Efficiency Fund is a pilot rebate program supporting Bath residents who install heat pumps and/or complete weatherization (insulation) projects. If you are a verified low or moderate income resident and have received an Efficiency Maine Trust rebate this calendar year, you may qualify for an additional rebate from the City of Bath.
This program is offered on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
Residential applicants only (1–3 unit homes). No commercial properties.
Rebate amount: 20% of your Efficiency Maine rebate for heat pump or weatherization projects.
Eligibility timeframe: Projects must be completed in the current calendar year, after the program start date.
Rebates are not retroactive—no back-paid projects will be accepted.
Low to Moderate Income qualified (verified through Efficiency Maine).
You must submit proof of your Efficiency Maine rebate.
Upgrades must be completed at a Bath residential address.
You must provide proof of Bath residency and Maine residency (a valid photo ID with address will work for both).
