Updated 9/16/20

The City of Bath has contracted with VIEWSHED, a Yarmouth-based landscape architecture firm, to create design concepts for the intersection of Elm Street and Front Street as well as Front Street (between Summer and Elm Streets) to achieve several goals, including:

  • Creating a destination area.
  • Improving conditions for pedestrians and bicyclists
  • Improving motor vehicle traffic flow.
  • Maintaining current public parking conditions.

The initial concept phase has been completed and the project is moving into the design and engineering phase in preparation for future construction. There is expected to be more public feedback opportunities on the project in the fall of 2020.
