Youth Firesetting Prevention & Intervention

The Bath Fire Department is pleased to offer the Youth Firesetting Prevention and Intervention Program. The goal of the program is to identify youth that display or talk about firesetting tendencies. These behaviors can be as simple as playin with matches or talking about curiosity of fire or more severe behaviors like arson. There is a simple screening process, including interview, to help determine, with parent/guardian approval, the appropriate intervention based on the level of risk.
