Upcoming Election Information

There are three elections slated for 2024. A summary of each election date and important deadlines relating to each election is included below.

March 5, 2024 - Presidential Primary



June 11, 2024 - State Primaries, Municipal & RSU#1 School Budget Validation Referendum

Important Dates & Deadlines

o March 13, 2024 - Earliest date to request an absentee ballot.

o May 13, 2024 - Anticipated date on which absentee ballots will become available.

o May 21, 2024 - Last day for City Clerk's Office to receive voter registration applications by mail.

o May 22, 2024 - Closed period begins. All voter registration applications must be submitted in person.

o May 28, 2024 - Last day to change political parties prior to the primary.

o June 6, 2024 - Last day for "no excuse needed" absentee voting.

o June 7, 2024 - Limited absentee voting. Available only to those voters who have a qualifying special circumstance.

o June 11, 2024 - Election Day. Polls open from 8am - 8pm.


November 5, 2024 - General Election & Municipal Election

o July 2, 2024 - Municipal nomination petition papers become available to those seeking to run for municipal office.

o August 7, 2024 - Earliest date to request an absentee ballot.

o August 20, 2024 - Deadline to submit municipal nomination petition papers to the City Clerk's Office or to file as a write-in candidate.

o October 6, 2024 - Anticipated date on which absentee ballots will become available.

o October 15, 2024 - Last day for City Clerk's Office to receive voter registration applications by mail.

o October 16, 2024 - Closed period begins. All voter registration applications must be submitted in person.

o October 31, 2024 - Last day for "no excuse needed" absentee voting.

o November 1, 2024 - Limited absentee voting. Available only to those voters who have a qualifying special circumstance.

o November 5, 2024 - Election Day. Polls open 8am - 8pm.



Election FAQ's

Q. When can I vote?

A. Election Day voting is held at the Bath Middle School, 6 Old Brunswick Road.  Polls are open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Besides Election Day, Bath voters can vote early by absentee ballot.  Applications for an absentee ballot will be available three months prior to the election.  Absentee ballots will be available 30 days prior to Election Day.


Q. Where can I register to vote?

A. Voter Registration is available for new voters or for existing Bath voters to change their address or name either at the Bath Middle School on Election Day or t the City Clerk's office during regular business hours.
